Zimbabwe’s top soul singer hails Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol

Zimbabwean acoustic soul singer and songwriter Gemma Griffiths.

Zimbabwean acoustic soul singer and songwriter Gemma Griffiths recently expressed her gratitude working with Sauti Sol.

She first shared a photo of her with the Kenyan all-boy band, raising speculations that a new song was in the offing between the two entities. But both camps did not confirm whether they were working on a project.

Recently though, the Ndinewe singer posted on Instagram a photo of herself with Sauti Sol’s Bien and Savara, producer Juls and Sol Generation’s Bensoul that she captioned: “Making music with these boys was a dream… all my love x.” Savara replied, “You are indeed a gem.”

Gemma was in Kenya for weeks in February as part of her East African tour where she interacted with a number of the top musicians in the country, and a collabo with Sol is now more likely to hit the airwaves.
